Ben's story
Cricket has always come first
Ben's relationship with cricket bats didn't start in a workshop. It started on the pitch. Years of playing club cricket meant years of knowing exactly what a bat needs to feel like when it matters: the pickup, the balance, the sound off the middle.
That playing background is what sets BCP Cricket apart. Ben doesn't just fix what's broken, he understands how a repair affects performance, because he's the one who'll notice if a bat doesn't feel right afterwards.
What began as looking after his own kit and helping teammates out grew into a proper trade: repairing, restoring and refurbishing bats for club cricketers, junior players, coaches and academies across Kent.
The workshop
Where the work happens
Every repair is done by hand in Ben's Kent workshop, no shortcuts, no outsourcing. From the first inspection to the final knock-in, your bat stays with Ben throughout.
The workshop is set up specifically for bat repair and refurbishment: proper knocking-in equipment, the right oils and binding materials, and years of experience knowing exactly how much a bat needs, and when to stop.

Repair philosophy
Fix it properly, or say so honestly
Three things guide every repair that comes through the workshop.
Honest assessment
If a bat can be saved, Ben will tell you exactly what it needs. If it genuinely can't, he'll tell you that too. No repairs for the sake of it.
Playing feel matters
A repair isn't finished when it looks right. It's finished when the balance and pickup feel right too.
Time done properly
Oiling, binding and knocking-in all need time to do properly. Ben won't rush a repair just to hit a deadline.
